WELCOME to First State Beverage Tours (FSBT), serving the northern Delaware and Greater New Castle County area.
We were created by craft-beverage producers to serve the craft community and create a comfortable, safe and educational experience while supporting the local small business craft brewers, meaderies/cideries and distilleries in our region.
We strive to give our patrons a diverse look at the Delaware alcoholic beverage community and do it in a safe and responsible fashion.
Public tours are available each Saturday, based on availability, and private tours are available by appointment only.
Jeff — Doc has been a Delaware resident for almost 30 years and has been involved in the business community for 20 of those years. He has been involved as a consumer in the Craft Beer revolution in America and it's roots in Delaware and the mid-Atlantic region. In combining his love for craft beverages, history and small-business, he helped start Liquid Alchemy Beverages in 2016 with his partner, Terri Sorantino. Doc now wishes to bring a truly craft beverage supporting "bus" to northern Delaware and help the local craft scene thrive while keeping people happy and safe. CHEERS!
Terri — Terri got started in the Delaware craft scene starting Liquid Alchemy Beverages with Jeff. She brings her small business and marketing experience to First State and helps with promotion and accounting.
Michael — Mike’s love of brewing his own craft beer (and a bad back) got him involved with Jeff and Terri when they started up Liquid Alchemy Beverages. Now a regular patron, he brought his technical expertise to First State Brew Tours and builds and maintains the website.
Joe — Joe is a Cicerone Certified Beer Server, a member of the International Association of Professional Writers & Editors, an avid home brewer for about 15 years and hosts craft beer tastings at Delaware's third largest liquor store. Joe is also the founder of DE Brew Trail.
John — John grew up in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania where he attended West Chester University and received a B.A., summa cum laude, in Political Science with minors in History and Philosophy. He went on to attend Tulane Law School in New Orleans, Louisiana. Now running his own law firm, John partnered with First State to provide the team with his legal advice and expertise.
